My Tiger My Timing is Anna (vox/keys), James (vox/guitar/bass), Harrison (vox/guitar/bass) and Gary (vox/drums) formed at the beginning of this year in New Cross, (South East London.) Originally been split between two bands, The Total Drop and Roaring Twenties, as well as running a small DIY label called Snakes & Ladders. "We wanted to make something dark and urban, but also danceable and exhilarating; a weird kind of experimental pop music with strong rhythm and melody at its core." Influences include "Fun Boy Three, Talking Heads (esp. 'Remain in Light') and Arthur Russell (also where we got the name), as well as more recent bands like Late of the Pier, Friendly Fires and Plugs." You can currently catch them playing a lot around London, and they hope to tour the UK early next year (which is also when they're planning to release their first single.)
