xxxTuesday's New ReleasesXXX

It is 9/30/08.  Do you know where your new music is?  Here is a good place to start!

Tom Morello kicks off this week with a release of much quieter rageful political rants... with just Morello and his acoustic guitar. Should be interesting to see hear the flipside of Rage!

Dark, brooding and spatial-Mercury Rev are going out on a more experimental limb this time. Seems dashing!

A film on Lou Reed directed by Julian Schnabel. A historic concert from Reed's 1973 album Berlin.

As Halloween begins rounding the corner... so does another release of Danny Elfman's songs from The Nightmare Before Xmas, all covered by prominent artisits today. If you haven' t heard Manson or Fiona's contributions, you should!

See last week's take a leak... if you have a baby... they will be interested as well.

Let's move to what we've all been waiting for now for years and years... a Melissa Etheridge Christman album. Oh Joyous Holy Holy!

Another effort from Jack's Mannequin. Anybody still got stars in their eyes?

An official release to track the Faery Goddess' journey in the early years dating from pre-Little Earthquakes mania to the tour following the release of the album. Tori's massive growth and appeal are easily seen over the 2 shows spanning 2.5 years. Well worth it for all the Ears With Feet.

Ben Folds is still a 1. I miss the 5 days. This album is supposed to be odd and quite funny... the title suggests just the same.

"On the last album I wanted to let people into my walk of life and connect my life to them and this album is more about involving great minds, hearts and spirits around me." -Robin Thicke

"Paper Trail"is a direct reference to T.I.'s return to literally writing down his lyrics- a practice he hasnt engaged in since his debut.  The album features guest appearances and production by Lil Wayne. Rihanna, Usher, The Dream, Fall Out Boy, Kanye West, B.O.B, John Legend, DJ Toomp, Swizz Beatz, Drumma Boy, & Danja.  Shit!  Who didn't help?  Diddy?

Along with these releases there are several CCR albums re-mastered as well as U2 this week.  It's hard to keep track of all the mastering and re-mastering and masturbating... ehrmmm ah well.

Don't forget to tell us what you love this week, and what you hate that we didn't post as excellent new releases.  (Go ahead, ask my why I didn't include Idols' Kelly Pickler and Jennifer Hudson's releases of the day... not to mention a little Trisha Yearwood action-well there you have it!)

Cheers,
=From One, *Haute Mess*
