I know this video is everywhere, but it's so super cool I had to post it. Check out the making of HOUSE OF CARDS at MusicIsMyBeachHouse on YouTube.
This guy isn't going to forget about your house of cards anytime soon. He'll do his.
Taken from Wikipedia:
Bryan Berg has broken "seven or eight" world records for cardstacking. He currently holds the record for tallest house of cards, a 25 foot 9 7/16 inch tall "skyscraper" completed at the State Fair of Texas on October 14, 2007. He also holds the record for the largest house of cards, a category Guinness invented for the event, for a replica of Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World. He uses Pla-More cards, whose low gloss coating makes them much more high-friction and thus ideal for building. Berg believes that it would be possible in theory to build a 100 foot (30 meter) or taller structure.
Has anyone out there actually built a house of cards??!! It's like building a ship in a bottle. Who the hell has ever accomplished that? If you're out there I've always fantasized about living in one.... *ehrmm* Please Contact Us with attempts, successes, or even photos. We will never believe you otherwise.
You'd better get stacking. I may even try to build one myself:
