I present this week's new releases... a little late due to traffic court days and a blown headlight... on with the show! 

First off this week, is of course, the one and only Antony & The Johnson's Another World EP release.  Check the Take a Leak from last week!  Looks like more old Hollywood obsessed photographic ideals,  Nifty.

Rachel Yamagata is promising, indeed. Her new double album looks fascinating... from the "Elephants" disc to the "Teeth Sinking Into Heart" disc, I anticipate a musical venture mixed with a wrist slit-a-thon. Listening party.... my house? Yours?

First new release from UK Rocker "Wonderwallers" Oasis since 2005.  They are promising a new sound, after all this time.  Does anyone else think as much as they painfully try not to rip off the Beatles... they end up doing so in one way or another... IE.. the new album cover?   Rubber Soul or Sgt. Pepper?  Oh hell, why not both.

First new Pretenders album in quite awhile... I believe the last was Loose Screws... which spoke potently of the albums content.  They are promising a huge return to their grittier roots. 

 

Same old Sarah Mclachlan songs collected in the same ways.  Her third new release containing nearly zero new material.  Check out the new single "U Want Me 2."  This Collection is a "Best Of."  Closer as in distance, or as in over?

And last, the dear Jolie Holland releases a new one. Dear Jolie, is that a Pirate?
