xxxRyan Adams Releases CardinologyXXX

Ryan Adams plans to release a new album with the Cardinals on 10/28. Yes another and so soon. It will be called "Cardinology." How lovely. It also appears Ryan Adams has a book in the works to be released in March '09 entitled "Infinity Blues." Maybe it's all about how Courtney Love has lost her mind... well we can hope. The first single is "Fix It." And it will be released tomorrow! Guess I should get on that...

Track List:
01 "Fix It"
02 "Magick"
03 "Let Us Down Easy"
04 "Like Yesterday"
05 "Go Easy"
06 "Sink Ships"
07 "Born Into A Light"
08 "Cobwebs"
09 "Crossed Out Name"
10 "Natural Ghost"
11 "Evergreen"
12 "Stop"

xxxTuesday's New ReleasesXXX

Tuesday! A New Day! A New Month. A New... a new... New Kids Album. Damn are they old.

Has it really been 14 years since the last New Kids On the Block album? Hmmm... time really flies when the New Kids disappear.

So Dreamy! I'm just dying to hear tracks with the titles "Grown Man," "Big Girl Now," and "Put It On My Tab." I think it's time to settle up that tab boys... Next Single ---> "Officially Over."

The Beach Boy is still doing it. That "Lucky Old Sun" of a bitch.

New Jefferson Airplane? What the hell is goin' on this week. There is a (ONE) Grace Slick track on there allll the way at the end-how compelling.

But, honestly, I had you at New New Kids.

New Releases! Not too many though...

The Veronicas, the Aussie Twin gals, are punkin' it once again...

The Verve's back at it:

And Jonatha Brooke takes the unmusicalized words of Woody Guthrie and turns them into songs. This looks like a fascinating project... though I've yet to hear it.

xxxTuesday's New ReleasesXXX

Oooo Tuesday, Tuesday. I thought you hadn't much in store for us, but Oh!, you do indeed... almost too much to keep track of. First off:

Youth Novels by Lykke Li
Is finally, finally, and I mean Finally out officially in the US. Go buy it.

Jaguar Love's album Take Me To The Sea is now on the shelf.
I still cant' get it out of my head. This one is changing how I listen to, perceive, and process the concept of "music." By the fifth spin, you'll be uncontrollably drawn to it. (Listen to last Friday's Take A Leak!)

Shwayze drops a self-titled album today. Who are these guys, really, I mean. I don't know whether to groove, laugh or put it on MTV's TRL. I do know there is a corresponding show about these fellas coming on MTV called Buzzin' (named after their first single). Has anyone seen it?
Here is their video Hollywood:

Stereolab-Chemical Chords:
Click the cover for a listen!

The Walkmen - You & Me
On the Water:

The Stills - Oceans Will Rise

Uh Huh Her's Common Reaction is finally here too.

I love hot lesbians.

Fiery Furnaces release Remember-A Live Concert Compilation. Woooooop!

The Toadies have returned from the Possum Kingdom with No Deliverance:

Earth To The Dandy Warhols is the... uh... Dandy Warhols new album:

Hope something in there is satisfying.

xxxTuesday's New ReleasesXXX

The releases have nearly slowed to a halt for this Summer's season of music. Not much new music to choose from this week (or to speak of-unless I completely missed it! When does new Brit Spears leak huh? That's only kinda a joke.)
********************************************************

The Cure release yet another single from their forthcoming album. Will there be any songs left when the album comes out?

That's not a zombie, no. It's Robert Smith.
And...

New Kids are back on the Block with a Greatest hits cd. 'Bout fuckin' time eh?

xxxTuesday's Releases & Remasters!xxx

The follow up to Brazilian CSS' "Cansei de Ser Sexy" is called Donkey. Donkey drops today. Video in a previous post. Album art below.

Will it live up to it's "urban outloud circus street dancin'" promises?
Is that a disco dolphin? Can anyone determine what that cover is?
I have so many questions.

Questions about Black Kids. No not Jim Crow and segregation. The Band. Where'd they come from? Blockparty. The Cure. The Killers. Black Kids. Have a look & listen. And I Hope you got somebody by Friday Night! Maybe even your very own Hurricane Jane (from the album Partie Traumatic):

Also today,
Travel back to Santa Monica's 1972 Bowie concert. It's been floating around for years! Today it finds it's official release.

Here's a little flashback to get you there.

Space Oddity & Andy Warhol from the '72 Performance.

And lastly, Trent Reznor/NIN's The Slip was released in hard copy.

It was released FOR FREE online a month or so ago. I guess the collector's need their physical cd fix.

You'll also find releases of not only the Remastered Dead Can Dance catalogue, but the Remastered U2 albums as well.
