xxxOddity Mixes from Bjork's VoltaXXX
Where there is Bjork, there are a multiplicity of remixes... whether they be official releases-approved by the Icelandic queen or herself or-they are concocted by rampant fans who actually work a lot of magic with her songs. I, myself, expected a lot more explosive energy and electronics from Volta, while in fact it was a more organic album than Medulla turned out to be. In fact, yet another single full of remixes with an accompanying video will appear on September 29th from team Bjork for the song Dull Flame of Desire. Click the single cover for all of the details:
Though many Volta songs/singles have been remixed and released officially, there are tons of unauthorized remixes floating around. I sought out these oddities mixes, all that I could find... and then rebuilt a Volta with a little more electronic electricity! If anyone has a remix of Vertebrae by Vertebrae, send it our way! No remix for that suckah-so I treat you to a nice live performance of it and the Innocence mix included has been released. Here you are-strive for the electricity:

xxxBjörk Lashes Out Again-Shanghai Says "Ah HELL NO!"xxx
"Never Again!" says Kelly Clarkson & The Chinese Ministry of Culture to the prospect of future Björkian performances in the country . The Ministry issued a statement complaining that an outburst during a March Volta performance "broke Chinese law and hurt Chinese people's feelings." Apparently, she took time out of her thrashing Declare Independence to deliver a little public service announcement, shouting out: "Tibet!" Tibet, for around 60 years now, has been under Chinese rule; the arrangement has never been without its dose of controversy.
The Ministry of Culture's website made a statement. Reuters Quotes: "Any artistic group or individual who [has] ever engaged in activities that threaten national sovereignty will not be allowed in." What's more, any entertainers who "threaten national unity," "whip up ethnic hatred," "violate religious policy or cultural norms," or "advocate obscenity or feudalism and superstition" during live events will also be BANNED from performance.
Wow. Sounds like a fun place to be-what a ball of freedom. If I were Björk, I'd be just dying to play another show in China. Pfffttt.
Anyway... Here is the famous freak out at the airport. C'mon now, it never gets old.
Imagine Björk is your mother-just for a second:
